DISCLAIMER: this is an old photo and Iβm NOT pregnant π€¦π»ββοΈπ€¦π»ββοΈ I just love looking back at the bump photos so Iβm re-sharing! π Benefits of Exercise through Pregnancy! πHereβs some of the benefits exercise can help with through your pregnancy, to name a few:π€°π» Reduce backache, constipation, bloating and swellingπ€°π» Promote muscle tone, strength and endurance (which can help with labour! ππΌ)π€°π» Help you sleep betterπ€°π» Boost your mood and energy levelsπ€°π» Help with pregnancy mental health struggles ππ€°π» Lower risk of gestational diabetesπ€°π» Regular exercise could help shorten your labour My personal experience through my pregnancy was how exercise helps with mental health, and to keep everything in the system running smoothly (without giving too much detail ππ©). And I am one of the lucky ones who had a short labour ππΌ while there is no guarantee that the exercise I did through my pregnancy helped keep my labour short, maybe it was a contributing factor (I like to think so!). I understand why lots of people are apprehensive about exercising through pregnancy, but the right guidance with an instructor who is qualified to help can give you so many positive benefits. If you are pregnant and are wanting to continue exercising through your pregnancy journey, go for it! Be sure to seek advice from a professional and as long as there are no underlying reasons why it could be harmful, you can go and reap all those benefits above. ππΌAt K Fit, we do not run any specific pregnancy classes, however we do welcome pregnant ladies into all of our regular classes where we can make exercise modifications for you. βΊοΈ Look after yourselves mammas-to-be π₯°π€°π»
