    Katrina Hyland
    Head of K Fit

    Katrina has come from a performing background, having trained for her degree in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre at the Urdang Academy, London.

    After completing her course, Katrina found that her real passion is in teaching and keeping fit. In 2011, Katrina opened her first Zumba class at a local school hall, and hasn’t looked back.

    Now with many qualifications including Associate Dance Teacher, Exercise to Music and Kettlercise to name a few, Katrina leads the K Fit programme and endeavours to deliver a constant high level of fitness classes where everyone can be challenged and reach goals.

    Tasha comes from a dance background having trained for her degree in Dance at Ballet West, Scotland.

    After completing a nine month contract dancing and entertaining at a hotel in Cyprus she wanted to try something different and her love for fitness seemed like the way to go.

    She is now a qualified Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer and kettlebell and circuits Instructor.

    She is excited to join the K Fit team!

    Sarah has been a member of K Fit classes since the beginning, and has been on an incredible fitness and weight loss journey of her own. Through this time she has discovered a passion for exercise and clean eating, and is now ready to share this passion with everyone!

    ‘A few years ago I found myself in a really bad place. I had always been big but after years of trying every diet going I was bigger than I had ever been. Worse still my general health was in shatters. Something had to change.

    I decided to go back to basics and teach myself about eating healthy, nutritious food. Alongside this I started exercising, trying many of Katrina’s classes and found that Kettlercise was my favourite. Slowly but surely the weight started to come off and now I have currently lost six stone and counting.

    Along the way I became more and more passionate in how various foods can affect our health. I gained a Diploma in Advanced Sports and Exercise Nutrition and plan to complete further courses in the future.’

    Katie has a BA Honours degree in Teaching and Learning and a Level 2 Swimming Teachers qualification. She has been teaching swimming for the past 14 years and has a passion for watching children and adults succeed. She has been working in schools for the last 10 years and has lots of experience in teaching and conducting lessons.

    Along with other sporting achievements she is now embarking on a new challenge and one she is very excited about. She has started her Level 3 Mat Pilates course and is looking forward to joining the KFit team.

    ‘I have always enjoyed Pilates and the accessibility for all involved is brilliant. No matter your skill level and ability, there are ‘moves’ to suit everyone!’

    In her spare time, she enjoys going on walking holidays with her family and spending time with friends. She is always looking to better herself and is excited to attend more courses in the fitness industry in the future.

This month's Class of the Month is...TOTAL TONE!! 😍🔥💪🏼A frequent question I'm often asked is 'what actually is Total Tone??' - I LOVE this question. Simply put, this is a toning and conditioning class. It's ran by our fabulous Tasha, we kept the name of the class very open so that we could just unleash Tasha and let her be creative!! And she certainly does an excellent job at that. Just turn up and expect to feel some muscle burn!! 🔥🔥🔥At the moment while we're online, Tasha just uses body weight exercises or light weights (cans of soup work perfectly), but when we're back at our halls other kit can be used too. Tasha always uses loads of different exercise formats too, so the classes can be really varied, which we feel adds to the fun of it! 🤩👏🏼🔥 Total Tone runs every Tuesday 🔥6.45-7.15pm£3.50 per classThis class is online-only for the time being, when we are on location, this class runs at Bushmead School.For further information on any of our classes please get in contact! 😁 ...
